Cefuroxime is used to treat bacterial infections that affect the skin, ears, sinuses, throat, tonsils, and urinary tract. In addition to gonorrhoea (a sexually transmitted disease), Lyme disease, and bronchitis (infection of the airway tubes leading to the lungs).
